Bowl season is known for its sponsors going all-out for their bowl festivities, and the Pop-Tarts Bowl between Miami and Iowa State was never going to be any different.

Naturally, those in charge have opted to wrap the cushion at the base of the goal post in material that resembles the iconic silver foil of a Pop-Tarts wrapper.

The pad, which is used to cushion player impact when hitting the goalpost, was showcased by WFTV’s Alex Walker who was on-hand inside Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

This feature is just one of many ways Pop-Tarts is going all-out for its bowl game this season. This game was previously known as the Cheez-It Bowl, but that sponsor has since transitioned to the Citrus Bowl, which is played in the same stadium and operated by Florida Citrus Sports.

Another way fans can enjoy the day with Pop-Tarts-themed visuals can be seen in the end zone. Sprinkles can be seen on the outside of the end zone leading up to the goal posts, and is also featured on the side of the end zone as well. Hilariously, there was also a memorial erected for last year’s games mascot, which was edible and saw Kansas State players pick pieces off the mascot suit during the postgame celebration.

The winner will be presented a trophy that features a football that doubles as a functioning toaster for the team to enjoy after the game is over. When broadcasters Tom Hart and Jordan Rodgers showcased the trophy ahead of kickoff, the Pop-Tarts were ejected from the toaster and fell on the ground.

Their broadcast partner, Cole Cubelic, worked in a Pop-Tarts mascot during pregame interviews, and the actual mascot — just like the goalposts — is a full-sized Pop-Tarts wrapper. Fans are also being treated to Pop-Tarts and Cheez-It-themed concession stand items, such as Mac n Cheez-It nachos and a Pop-Tarts waffle bowl. Bottled water also costs $5.50, for what it’s worth.

With all of the pagentry surrounding the game, it’s easy to forget there is football to be played. Kickoff between Miami and Iowa State is set for 3:30 p.m. ET and will air live on ABC in what will be the final game of Cam Ward’s illustrious collegiate career, and stellar single season at Miami.
