Previewing more than a dozen major commitments set for this week
July 18
4-star WR Zion Ragins
School: Gray (Ga.) Jones County
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 206
On3 RPM: Oklahoma 89.7%, Florida State 3.8%, South Carolina 2.2%
The 5-foot-9, 170-pound Ragins is one of the Peach State’s fastest prospects, and he’s been an in-demand recruit because of it. South Carolina, Georgia and a few others remained in the mix, but this recruitment has come down to Oklahoma and Florida State. Both hosted him on campus in June, but it’s the Sooners who are considered the heavy favorites.
July 19
5-star WR Mike Matthews
School: Parkview (Ga.) Lilburn
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 14
On3 RPM: Tennessee 86.7%, Clemson 4.7%, Georgia 3.5%
Matthews took official visits to each of his four finalists — Tennessee, Clemson, Georgia and USC — in the month of June before announcing his commitment date on Monday. Ever since his trip to Rocky Top, it’s been the Vols trending heavily to land him.
July 20
On3 4-star DL D’Antre Robinson
School: Orlando (Fla.) Jones
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 404 (#271 in the On300)
On3 RPM: Texas 94.0%, Florida 1.6%
Texas has had some significant success recruiting in Florida under Steve Sarkisian, and On300 defensive lineman D’antre Robinson is their next big target. The 6-foot-3, 315-pounder took official visits to Texas, Florida and Georgia in June, but the Longhorns have emerged as the heavy favorites.
July 21
4-star IOL Liam Andrews
School: Brookline (Mass.) Dexter School
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 85
On3 RPM: Penn State 78.6%, South Carolina 4.2%, Wisconsin 3.6%
Few prospects have been quieter about their recruitments than Andrews, who took official visits to Penn State, South Carolina and Wisconsin in June. The 6-foot-4, 275-pounder could play on either side of the ball at the next level, but Penn State prefers him on the offensive line. The Nittany Lions are trending after an expert pick from BlueWhiteIllustrated’s Sean Fitz.
4-star RB Taylor Tatum
School: Longview (Texas)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 35
On3 RPM: Oklahoma 71.2%, USC 24.9%
It’s been a seesaw battle between the Trojans and Sooners for the On3 Industry Ranking’s No. 1 running back in 2024. USC seemed to have all the momentum after his mid-June official visit, but the tide turned toward Brent Venables and Co. a week later. Tatum wants to play both football and baseball at the next level, and his relationship with the Sooners’ baseball staff is second-to-none.
4-star LB Edwin Spillman
School: Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 300
On3 RPM: Tennessee 81.7%, Ohio State 7.3%, Georgia 3.6%, Florida State 3.0%
Spillman has been one of Tennessee’s top priorities in this class from the jump. Ohio State hosted him for an official visit last month, but all signs continue to point to him staying close to home.
On3 4-star IOL William Sanders
School: Brookwood (Ala.) School
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 423 (#111 in the On300)
On3 RPM: Alabama 94.5%, Vanderbilt 1.2%, LSU 1.0%

One of the biggest rankings risers in the country over the last few months, Sanders has seen his recruitment take off as well. Both Alabama and LSU hosted him in early June, but the Crimson Tide got him back on campus a second time and are now trending to land his commitment.
July 22
4-star CB Corian Gipson
School: Lancaster (Texas)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 73
On3 RPM: Texas 95.5%, Clemson 1.5%
Gipson has long been considered a lean to the Longhorns. But programs like Clemson and Ohio State have made it very interesting. He took official visits to each of those three programs, but Texas still holds a heavy lead in the On3 RPM with a decision date set for July 22.
“Gipson wrapped up a busy summer with his Texas official visit for the Longhorns’ biggest recruiting weekend of the offseason,” On3 national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman wrote last week. “There was optimism about Gipson staying in-state in the spring and it’s never waned.”
4-star WR Jaime Ffrench (2025)
School: Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin
On3 Industry Ranking:
On3 RPM: Alabama 93.9%, Florida State 1.4%
Alabama already holds a pledge from one of the top 2025 wide receivers in Ryan Williams and seems to be in a great spot to land Ffrench as well. He’s visited Tuscaloosa multiple times throughout his recruitment and was back again on campus in June.
“I got to see more and get around the coaches more,” Ffrench told BamaOnLine. “Get more of a good bond with Coach [Tommy] Rees, Coach [Holmon] Wiggins, Coach [Joe] Cox, and, most definitely, Coach Saban. Anytime I get out there, it’s a good time. They all come with the same thing: The biggest picture is they want me on the team,”
4-star DL T.A. Cunningham
School: Miami (Fla.) Miami Central
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 257
On3 RPM: Penn State 84.5%, Georgia 2.1%, Georgia Tech 1.8%, USC 1.5%
Cunningham’s lone official visit in June was to Penn State and the Nittany Lions seem to be the favorite to make him their latest commit. Their odds grew even more following a pick from Penn State recruiting insider Sean Fitz.
July 23
4-star LB Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa
School: Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 109
On3 RPM: Notre Dame 73%, USC 10.9%, Ohio State 6%
Notre Dame and USC have long been considered as the favorites in Villiamu-Asa’s recruitment but another school from the Midwest have taken the lead. According to Blue and Gold’s Mike Singer, the consensus from what he’s heard is that Ohio State has emerged as the favorite for Villiamu-Asa. However, he isn’t ruling out Notre Dame in this race.
