Princely Umanmielen is glad he isn’t in Florida anymore and he isn’t shy about letting everybody know. The edge rusher transferred to Ole Miss this offseason and recently took to social media to troll the Gators by comparing their record to the Rebels.

Ole Miss is off to a 4-0 start, something Florida was never able to accomplish during Umanmielen’s four seasons in Gainesville. He made sure to remind the public of that fact by taking a shot at his former team on Sunday.

“Forgot what 4-0 felt like,” he wrote via X.

Umanmielen has since deleted the tweet.

Florida is 2-2 on the young season with losses against Miami and Texas A&M. The Gators won this past week by a score of 45-28 against Mississippi State, but much of the fanbase seems to have given up on coach Billy Napier in his third season.

After missing a bowl game last season, Florida looks like it could be in danger of failing to reach six wins yet again. Five of their eight remaining games come against currently ranked opponents.

Ole Miss, on the other hand, is a team many are predicting to make the College Football Playoff. They have rolled through their first month of the season, winning by an average margin of 49.5 points.

Umanmielen has been a big part of that success as a starter on the defensive line. He so far has totaled eight tackles (three for loss) and two sacks.

The Rebels have yet to face an SEC opponent, so they aren’t likely to continue winning games by as much as they have been. However, their early performance gives confidence that they can make it through the tough conference slate and potentially compete for the league title.

Ole Miss opens up conference play next week at home against Kentucky. As for Florida, the Gators get a break from the SEC schedule to take on UCF.
