Purdue CB Nyland Green enters NCAA transfer portal
Purdue defensive back Nyland Green has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Green had the most productive year of his career during his lone season with the Boilermakers. He totaled 23 tackles, a pair of sacks and a forced fumble.
A former four-star recruit who began his career at Georgia, he spent three seasons in Athens as a part of the 2020 recruiting class.
He was a top 50 recruit in his class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 3 cornerback in his recruiting cycle.

The portal officially opened on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024. More than 2,800 FBS scholarship players entered their names into the NCAA’s transfer database during the 2023-24 school year. Removing those who withdrew or went pro, the final total sat at 2,707 transfers.
That means roughly 25 percent of all FBS scholarship players hit free agency in one year, per On3’s Pete Nakos.

Purdue transfer TE Max Klare commits to Ohio State
Former Purdue tight end Max Klare, the No. 1-rated TE according to the On3 Industry Transfer Portal Rankings, has committed to transfer to Ohio State, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.
The 6-foot-4, 245-pound Klare, the No. 13 overall player in the portal according to On3’s Industry Rankings, chose his home state Buckeyes over offers from programs like Louisville, Michigan, Texas and Texas A&M.
Klare played in all 12 of Purdue’s games this season. He finished the year with team-highs of 51 receptions, 685 receiving yards and four touchdowns. In the 2023 campaign, Klare appeared in five games and made four starts before suffering a season-ending injury.
