Purdue cornerback Markevious Brown plans to enter NCAA transfer portal

Purdue cornerback Markevious Brown plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos has learned. He will do so after two seasons with the Boilermakers.
Brown started 15 games in 16 appearances with Purdue, proving to be a quality starter in the secondary. He joined Purdue in 2023, having spent the previous two years at Ole Miss.
After playing in 12 games for Purdue in 2023, Brown stepped away from the program just four games into the 2024 campaign. Reasons for his departure were not entirely clear.

Brown did not end up returning for Purdue during the season. He later entered the NCAA transfer portal.
