Purdue DB Kyndrich Breedlove withdraws from NCAA Transfer Portal
Purdue defensive back Kyndrich Breedlove has withdrawn from the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. Breedlove entered the portal earlier this month following a coaching change with the Boilermakers.
Kyndrich Breedlove previously played at Ole Miss and Colorado. He has now played in 30-plus games during his college career with the Rebels, Buffaloes, and Boilermakers.
Kyndrich Breedlove had a strong season for the Boilermakers in 2024, finishing with 40 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and 3 interceptions.
Prior to playing for the Boilermakers, the Nashville native played at Ole Miss in 2021-22, before spending the 2023 season at Colorado.
He played in 10 games for the Rebels over two seasons at Ole Miss, before appearing in nine games in 2023. That season, he had 12 tackles, a tackle for loss and a forced fumble.
Kyndrich Breedlove played high school football at Pearl-Cohn. He was the No. 527 overall recruit there as a three-star prospect in the 2021 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also rated as a Top-50 CB in the class and the No. 14 player out of the state of Tennessee.

Purdue CB Nyland Green enters NCAA transfer portal
While Purdue is getting defensive back Kyndrich Breedlove back from the transfer portal, defensive back Nyland Green is still in the portal.
Green had the most productive year of his career during his lone season with the Boilermakers. He totaled 23 tackles, a pair of sacks and a forced fumble.
A former four-star recruit who began his career at Georgia, he spent three seasons in Athens as a part of the 2020 recruiting class.
He was a top 50 recruit in his class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 3 cornerback in his recruiting cycle.
Purdue struggled to a 1-11 season in 2024, before firing head coach Ryan Walters. He was replaced by Barry Odom, who will lead the Boilers program during the 2025 season.
