Rakease Passmore is the No. 47 ranked player in the 2024 On3 Consensus. The 6-foot-4 wing finished with 14 points and five rebounds in Friday night’s win at the Flyin’ to the Hoop Invitational. For the season, the four-star at Lincolnton (NC) Combine Academy is shooting 42 percent from three.

“My goal is to continue becoming a leader,” Passmore told On3. “Expanding my game and doing other stuff like shooting the ball and staying in attack mode. I’m shooting like 40 percent from three this season.”

Passmore carries over thirty offers. He has taken one official visit to Indiana in November. Last week, on January 11, Passmore took a visit to Duke for their home win against Pittsburgh. While Duke has not offered yet, the experience was memorable.

Passmore recaps Duke visit

“Duke has always been my dream school,” Passmore said. “I’ve been watching them for a minute; it’s everyone’s dream school where I’m from. To be recruited by them is like a big-time dream come true.

“The visit went great. I like the place a lot. All the coaches are cool; the players are cool. Even the fans, man, they’re crazy. It was loud over there with them; I really couldn’t hear anything.

“I toured a little bit of campus before the game. It was great, the overall school is not as big, but it’s really nice. I had a good talk with Coach (Jon) Scheyer after the game. We talked about what he saw in my game when he watched me at the John Wall. He kept it real with me, and I like that.”

Next visit thoughts

“I’m probably not going to take any more visits until after our season,” Rakease Passmore said. “I’m not sure who all we will go see, but I’m pretty sure one will be Auburn.”

Auburn: “They’re really cool down there. They’re my guys. They tell me they think I can be an impact there with how they play. I haven’t really been able to watch them play much this season because of our travel schedule and school and all. They send me some clips and all and tell me they think how I run the wing and how aggressive I am on defense fits in perfectly with what they do.”
