On the first Monday of every month, On3 is scheduled to release a rankings update. July’s update was with the 2024 class. Coming off that update as well as the first July NCAA Live Evaluation Period I thought it would be a fun exercise to rank the totality of high school basketball.

On3 currently has an updated version of the 2023 and 2024 class rankings. We are not currently scheduled to put out a 2025 ranking until the turn of the calendar. Those are the three classes that we are taking into account for this exercise.

At the end of the day, the youth and the upside of the 2025 class won out. Already accomplished on the international level, 15-year-old Cooper Flagg is coming off a gold-medal-winning trip to Spain for the FIBA u17 World Games. The 6-foot-8 Flagg led the u17 team in rebounding, steals, and blocks while shooting 42.7-percent from three. Yesterday I posted an article asking if Cooper Flagg was the top prospect in high school basketball (read here).

This list of the top ten is pretty evenly distributed by classes, as 2023 has four players included, while there are three each from the 2024 and 2025 classes.
