Read QB Jaden Rashada's initial $13.85 million contract with The Gator Collective
Quarterback Jaden Rashada filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday against Florida coach Billy Napier, former Florida recruiting staffer Marcus Castro-Walker, Florida donor Hugh Hathcock and Hathcock’s since-sold company Velocity Automotive. The suit alleges that Rashada signed a deal with The Gator Collective worth up to $13.85 million over four years and that Hathcock declined to fund the deal, which was terminated less than a month after it was signed.
The full contract is below. It called for an initial $500,000 payment and monthly payments that began at $250,000 during Rashada’s freshman year and escalated to as much as $375,000 a month during what would have been his junior season.
In exchange, Rashada agreed to participate in fan engagement events and make monthly sponsored social media posts.
