Reggie Bush, Jayden Daniels make Heisman House debuts in new Nissan ad
At long last, Reggie Bush is part of Nissan’s “Heisman House” campaign. The former USC standout made his debut Thursday in an ad alongside reigning Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels.
The first commercial, titled “Frozen in Time,” saw Robert Griffin III show Daniels to his room. On their way, they stopped by a cryotherapy room – established, appropriately, in 2005. That’s where they found Bush, who said he “lost track of time in there.”
The ad was a nod to Bush’s absence from the Heisman House over the years. He’s now back with a portrait and his trophy back in hand after getting it back in April.
Daniels, of course, put together a special 2023 season to bring home the Heisman Trophy. The No. 2 overall pick in the NFL Draft, he threw for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns in 2023 while adding 1,134 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns to bring home the honor.

Bush won the Heisman Trophy in 2005, but had to forfeit it in 2010 following an investigation into USC, which also said the Trojans had to vacate their 2004 national championship. His junior season was one of the greatest in recent memory as he rushed for 1,740 yards and 16 touchdowns before going to the New Orleans Saints as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft.
More on Reggie Bush’s journey to the Heisman House
Reggie Bush got his trophy back after the Heisman Trust “considered the enormous changes in college athletics over the last several years” amid pushback from multiple former winners, including Johnny Manziel. Bush released a statement on the decision, which puts him back alongside the elite players in college football history.

“Personally, I’m thrilled to reunite with my fellow Heisman winners and be a part of the storied legacy of the Heisman Trophy, and I’m honored to return to the Heisman family,” Bush said. “I also look forward to working together with the Heisman Trust to advance the values and mission of the organization.”
Since Nissan started the Heisman House campaign in 2011, Bush wasn’t able to be part of the ads. Now, he’s back for “The Comeback Year,” which also incorporates the EA Sports College Football 25 after the video game’s 11-year absence.
Four more commercials will debut throughout the 2024 season, including one starring Steve Spurrier called “Genuine Alligator,” which drops next month. Daniels and Bush join an impressive roster of former Heisman Trophy winners in the ads, including Spurrier, Griffin, Baker Mayfield, Tim Tebow, Mark Ingram and Desmond Howard.
“Heisman House is more than just a campaign; it’s become a part of culture, woven into the fabric of people’s hearts, and something they eagerly anticipate each year,” said Marisstella Marinkovic, Nissan U.S. vice president and chief marketing officer, in a statement. “This year is extra special as we welcome Reggie Bush to the house and other Heisman greats alongside our award-winning Nissan lineup. I promise you all the laughs and special moments Heisman House is known for.”
