Platteview (Neb.) Senior tight end Reiman Zebert announced his commitment to Stanford this week, another big recruiting win for head coach Troy Taylor and his staff.

The 6-foot-6 1/2, 205-pound Zebert chose the Cardinal over Duke, Wisconsin, Nebraska and others, becoming commitment No. 17 for Taylor and company in the 2025 cycle.

“I just really believe that it is gonna be the best for developing me to be the best tight end I can be,” Zebert said. “Also the fact that it is setting me up for life after football like no other college in the country.”

Tight ends coach Nate Byham led the charge in recruiting Zebert with Viane Talamaivao, Preston Pehrson, Dylan Cruz and Albert Garcia all involved as well.

“The staff is amazing and I really cherish the relationships I’ve built with them,” Zebert said. “Players too.”

Zebert elaborated on why Stanford was the best football decision for him.

“Stanford has the most tight ends in the NFL and my tight end coach actually played several years in the league,” Zebert said. “That doesn’t hurt especially when that’s my goal.”

Zebert had a big junior season turning 28 receptions into 677 yards and seven touchdowns averaging over 24 yards per catch. He is the On3 Industry’s No. 42 tight end while On3 slots him No. 38 nationally at the position.
