Report: Aaron Bradshaw absence due to investigation of domestic incident
On Nov. 22, Ohio State released a statement announcing Aaron Bradshaw was no longer participating in team activities. On Monday, The Columbus Dispatch reported that Ohio State is investigating Bradshaw for “a possible domestic incident at his off-campus apartment last week.”
“Aaron Bradshaw is not currently participating in team activities,” Ohio State’s initial statement read.“The university is following its established process. Due to federal privacy laws, we cannot share further information at this time.”
Bradshaw was absent in Ohio State’s 104-60 win over Campbell on Friday. After the victory, Buckeyes head coach Jake Diebler was asked three separate questions about Bradshaw’s absence but refused to go into further detail than what the university released in its statement.
Bradshaw is also expected to not play in the Buckeyes’ showdown against Green Bay at 8 p.m. ET tonight. Per The Columbus Dispatch, no charges have been filed against Bradshaw but there is no timeframe for his possible return to the team.
Bradshaw played and started in the Buckeyes’ first four games this season, averaging 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 23.8 minutes per game. He is shooting 37.9% from the field. Bradshaw transferred to Ohio State this offseason after spending his freshman year at Kentucky.
In 26 appearances for the Wildcats last season, Bradshaw averaged 4.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game while shooting 57.6% from the field and 28.6% from beyond the arc. Bradshaw’s best game of the season came in Kentucky’s win over Penn when he tallied 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Bradshaw missed the beginning of the 2023-24 season due to a foot fracture he suffered in the summer. Nonetheless, once healthy, Bradshaw showed flashes of promise.
Bradshaw played high school basketball at Camden (NJ), where he was a five-star recruit, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. Bradshaw was the No. 4 overall prospect and No. 1 center in the 2023 recruiting cycle.
In July, ESPN named Aaron Bradshaw one of six players in college basketball with breakout potential. Bradshaw did not respond to The Columbus Dispatch‘s request for comment.
Ohio State is 4-1 this season, with its sole loss coming against Texas A&M on Nov. 15. In the loss, Bradshaw recorded seven points, six rebounds and a block while shooting 3-10 from the field and 0-3 from beyond the arc.
