The SEC has decided on its permanent scheduling options beginning with the 2025 season, the league announced on Thursday morning.

Each SEC team will have two permanent opponents each year, then play a rotating schedule with other league opponents. The conference unveiled the pairings on Thursday.

Many of the rivalries included are traditional rivalries, though some programs have been paired with the league newcomers.

Texas A&M will add Texas ass a permanent opponent, while Missouri will add Oklahoma. Oklahoma and Texas will face each other annually, wrapping up the annual opponents for each of the league’s newcomers.

Other traditional rivalries have been preserved, such as Alabama facing Auburn and Tennessee, Georgia facing Auburn and Florida and Vanderbilt facing Tennessee and Kentucky.

The SEC noted that the permanent SEC baseball schedule opponents were determined based on a number of factors including geography, traditional opponents and strength of schedule. Standings will be kept in a single-division format, eliminating divisional standings.

All in all it should make for an entertaining start to the expanded SEC baseball schedule.
