EA Sports College Football

Now through the halfway point of the college football season, EA Sports College Football 25 has made its second major player ratings update. With the Heisman Trophy race coming into full view and the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff only weeks away, the top players have emerged.

The game returned last July for the first time in more than a decade. Electronic Arts announced at September’s Investor Day that EA Sports College Football 25’s release has been “above expectations.” EA College Football 25 has seen 6.5 million unique players to date.

For the first time in the game’s history, athletes are being compensated for having their name, image and likeness. That also means on-field performances are being factored into the player ratings update for the first time. The frontrunner to win the Heisman has seen a major boost. Also, 700 new NIL players have been added as part of the latest update.

Ashton Jeanty is now tied for the highest-rated player in EA Sports College Football 25 with Travis Hunter and Will Johnson. And Penn State EDGE Abdul Carter is now the second-ranked right end in the game behind James Pearce.
