College football fans are hyped for EA Sports College Football 25 and the “Road to Glory” mode is no exception.

On3’s Andy Staples got to play the game and give his take on all of the features. That goes for gameplay, modes, aesthetic and more.

If you ever wanted to create a college football superstar and immerse yourself in the game, “Road to Glory” is the mode for you.

“This is the one that you’re the player and you get to make decisions based on that player,” Staples said. “So you go through that player’s college career, and you basically take him through his career, it could be three years, it could be five years and at the end, you know, hopefully you’re off to the NFL Draft.

“But the decisions you have to make mimic the decisions that were at the Elite Series here for On3. So we’ve got five-star recruits that are learning about what life is gonna be like as college football stars, the decisions they’re gonna have to make, the same decisions you’re gonna have to make in Road to Glory.”

Don’t think the details aren’t there. Have to study for a test? You better because Road to Glory will absolutely make you ineligible.

No, we’re not kidding.

“And you’re gonna have to decide how you spend your time in the offseason and it’s not just do I party, do I work out? It’s, do I workout? Do I party? Do I try to build my brand to get better in NIL deals? Do I study the playbook? Do I study my actual books,” Staples said. “Because yes, you can be academically ineligible in this game. And if you get academically ineligible, you’re screwed. So you have to be very careful. There is a mode like it’ll tell you, you got a test coming up in two weeks in this class. You are clueless about this subject. It doesn’t mean you’re an idiot, you’re gonna fail no matter what.”

So study your books, playbook and balance out your social life. Oh yeah, Road to Glory also features your on-the-field gameplay as well. Can’t forget about that.

“It means until you study you’re clueless and you have to decide to study for this test,” Staples said. “But does that mean you don’t devote as much time to your brand building, which may cost you NIL deals in the long run? So yeah, these are the real decisions that have to be made if you were a college football star. So (Road to Glory) is going to be a lot of fun.”
