Robert Griffin III reacts hilariously to Baylor loss to BYU
Baylor is a Christian University based in Waco, Texas. And BYU is a well-known Mormon University located in Provo, Utah. On Saturday, BYU prevailed over Baylor 34-28, in the battle of the religions. Shortly after his team lost, former Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III reacted on Twitter.
“BYU won the battle of the Christians. Right now, my heart is like the Red Sea in the Bible. Split in two,” Griffin tweeted.
Baylor had a pretty decent performance from quarterback Sawyer Robertson on Saturday. He completed 27 of 48 passes for 324 yards, while tossing in three touchdowns and two interceptions. Baylor wideout Josh Cameron hauled in seven catches for 125 yards, while bringing in two touchdowns. They also got decent performances from receiver Ashtyn Hawkins, who hauled in five catches for 74 yards and a touchdown. Then Baylor had a solid showing from receiver Hal Presley, who hauled in eight catches for 82 yards.

BYU outscored Baylor 31-14 in the first half, then held on for the 34-28 win. The Cougars didn’t really dominate the box score, but they did outgain Baylor in rushing yards, 151 to 63. BYU safety Crew Wakely had the game-clinching interception with 59 seconds left in the fourth quarter to lift the Cougars to victory.
Wakely made a leaping interception near midfield in front of the Baylor bench to secure the first Big 12 road win for BYU (5-0, 2-0 Big 12).
