Four-star F Robert Miller talks visits; breaks down Alabama, LSU, Texas, Colorado
Robert Miller, a 6-foot-10 forward from Houston (TX) Pasadena Memorial High, came in as the No. 40 player in the most recent 2024 On3 150 ranking update.
“Scoring-wise, I can do that,” Miller told On3. “I can shoot, I like to get my teammates involved. I’m pretty athletic, I take pride in defense first, and I try to make sure everything is set on the defensive end for my team. I’ve put in a lot of repetitions over the summer, just in the gym until I don’t get it wrong.”
On3 caught up with four-star Robert Miller to talk recruitment.
Miller talks schools
Robert Miller announced his top six schools in July. Alabama, LSU, Texas, Colorado, Arkansas, and Oklahoma made that list. Miller has scheduled or taken official visits to four of the programs, LSU, Alabama, Colorado, and Texas. He gave quotes on those four schools.
LSU: “I’ve taken an official visit to them already. I learned a lot about the coaches there. Coach (Matt) McMahon and the whole staff really, they’re all great people, and I enjoyed being around them, interacting with them.
“They run the floor there, get out and read and react. They take great pride in defense there; that is something they told me. I would be able to play on the wing there, go inside out. Playing from the outside and going inside when I need to.”
Texas: “I’ve been there for unofficials already. Being able to go there and experience the environment of the school and the fans. It’s just a really great environment. Coach (Rodney) Terry has been a really great guy. He’s just down to earth and willing to help everyone get better. He has a lot of what I’m looking for in a coach.”

Alabama: “What is sticking out with them is how they said they wanted to use me if I went there. They talk a lot about Brandon Miller and their offense, how they would be able to develop me for the next level.”
Colorado: “My relationship continues to grow with the coaches. The staff keeps reaching out and showing their interest in me. They let me know how they can develop me and how they plan to use me in their program.”
Miller’s Bloodlines
Robert Miller’s dad, also named Robert Miller, played on the defensive live at LSU in the 90’s.
In his words
“I want to make my decision before my school season starts,” Miller said. “I’ll want to go to a program that I know will develop me for the next level. And I want to go somewhere that I know will be honest with me, not slacking off, and be willing to coach me and be honest.
“I’ll want to play for a coach that will let me play inside and out, not just bury me in the paint because of my height. I want to be able to help the team in any way that I can.”
