Salisbury has another gem in Juke Harris
Salisbury High School is a small 2A public school in Salisbury, North Carolina. A quiet town off highway 85 with a substantial athletic history. A history that is close to adding another chapter with junior Juke Harris.
A turn off of 85 South takes you past the Waffle House and then left. The high school is only six miles away from Catawba College and even closer to Livingstone College. Livingstone College is where Zion Williamson’s mom ran track, which is why the former No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft was born in Salisbury.
Salisbury High is a historic looking school. Built in the 1920s, the school currently has less than 900 students enrolled. However, you step into the gym, and you see the 40-plus state championship banners across many sports. You also see a banner hanging of Bobby Jackson, the former Minnesota Golden Gopher and Sacramento King. Salisbury High is a small but proud athletic community.
Juke Harris
Juke Harris, a 6-foot-6 junior, has called next in his city. As a sophomore, Harris led Salisbury High to the third round of the state playoffs. He averaged 23.1 points on the season.
Harris can really shoot the ball; he scores it at an efficiently high level. The jump shot is smooth; he has a high shot pocket with great balance and consistent release. He is an efficient scorer.

Harris’ recruitment
The first offer for Harris did not come until Western Carolina offered in May of this year; he now claims 25. Harris has had Florida State, Clemson, Virginia, NC State, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and LSU all in to see him during the Fall live recruiting period.
Seven of the eight schools who have visited him have offered – Florida State has not – and they join the likes of Illinois, VCU, Mississippi State, and St. John’s.
