Sam Pittman provides injury update on ailing secondary
Arkansas coach Sam Pittman provided an injury update on several players in the secondary on Wednesday morning on an SEC teleconference call.
The Razorbacks could have some of the injured players available this week for a contest against UAB, while others are likely to remain sidelined. Pittman provided the latest.
“Well you know, (Jaylon) Braxton hasn’t practiced much this week,” Pittman said. “We’re going to check him out. He’s got a bone bruise and we’re going to check him out a little bit more today. [Hudson Clark], he’s doubtful. I don’t know that he will be ready this week. [Marquise “Cuddie” Robinson], I think he’ll be fine. But Braxton’s probably still wait and see, I’ll probably know more about it after today’s practice to be honest with you. Then Cuddie will go and Hud is very, very doubtful.”
Braxton is working through tendinitis, an injury that can be painful but is often something you can work through on the field.

Robinson suffered a stinger during pregame warmups last week and did not see the field against Oklahoma State. Pittman broke down that injury after the game.

Finally, Clark suffered an injury in the first quarter of last week’s game with what Pittman described as a back injury. He was set to get an MRI this week, though Pittman did not reveal the results of that MRI.
Dazmin James suspended for UAB game
While not an injury, Arkansas will be missing another player for this week’s contest against UAB.
Arkansas receiver Dazmin James is suspended for the Razorbacks’ Week 3 game against UAB, Pittman announced in his Monday press conference. Pittman added that the suspension was due to a “violation of team rules” and that James will return in Week 4.
The redshirt freshman has not played an offensive snap for the Razorbacks this season according to Pro Football Focus. He saw action on special teams in the season-opening win against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Given that, his absence should have minimal impact on the Arkansas game plan outside of a hit to their depth.
James signed with Arkansas in 2023 as a three-star prospect out of Clayton (NC) High School. He did not appear in any games as a true freshman to preserve his redshirt season. The receiver caught 43 passes for 601 yards and five touchdowns as a high school senior.
