2025 QB Sawyer Anderson, former Purdue signee, commits to Arizona
Dallas Parish Episcopal three-star quarterback Sawyer Anderson has committed to Arizona, he announced on Monday evening.
Anderson signed with Purdue earlier this month, but announced on Sunday that he was no longer heading to West Lafayette. He’s now in the mix for the Wildcats as their second signal-caller this cycle.
The 5-foot-11, 193-pounder is the No. 893 overall prospect and No. 54 QB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 130 player in Texas.
Anderson was one of just six signees for the Boilermakers during the Early Signing Period, but he backed off over the weekend. Head coach Ryan Walters was fired after just two seasons as Purdue’s head coach, as was offensive coordinator Graham Harrell.
He now joins a 2025 class under Brent Brennan and Co. that ranks No. 57 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Arizona adds second QB to 2025 recruiting class
Arizona signed 20 high school prospects earlier this month, including Gilbert (Ariz.) Higley three-star QB Luke Haugo, the No. 83 QB in the cycle. During the Early Signing Period, the Wildcats lost a pledge from four-star QB Robert McDaniel, who flipped to UCLA.
Orlando Boone four-star wide receiver Isaiah Mizell is the lone four-star recruit in the Arizona class, checking in as the No. 388 overall prospect and No. 60 WR in the nation. Chandler (Ariz.) Basha three-star WR Gio Richardson is right behind as the No. 6 player in Arizona this cycle.
Haugo and Richardson are two of just five in-state signees for the Wildcats. Other top signees in the class include: Danville (Calif.) Monte Vista three-star tight end Kellan Ford, San Antonio East Central three-star linebacker Myron Robinson, Crosby (Texas) three-star running back Wesley Yarbrough and Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro three-star athlete Dajon Hinton.
