SEC announces players of the week following Week 7

Following an insane Week 7 of games across the conference, the SEC announced the players of the week on Monday. This week’s honorees feature players from TennesseeKentucky, Arkansas, Ole Miss and LSU, which all enjoyed wins heading into Week 8.

Week 7 SEC Players of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week: Jalin Hyatt, WR, Tennessee

Vols receiver Jalin Hyatt had a record-setting day versus the Crimson Tide, posting five touchdowns on six catches for 207 yards. Hyatt is now just the fifth player in SEC history to catch five or more touchdowns in a game

Co-defensive Players of the Week: DeAndre Square, LB, Kentucky | Hudson Clark, DB, Arkansas

Wildcats linebacker DeAndre Square played a crucial role in the 10-point win over Mississippi State. He tallied 11 tackles and had a game-sealing interception. Meanwhile, Hudson Clark had a similarly impactful game versus BYU with a career-high 11 tackles, along with an interception and a fumble recovery.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Chase McGrath, K, Tennessee

Chase McGrath clinched the win for the Vols on Saturday by nailing his 40-yard field goal as time expired.

Freshman Player of the Week: Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ole Miss

Quinshon Judkins is having a breakout year in his first season at Ole Miss. He had 25 carries for 139 yards and three scores, including one receiving touchdown, in Week 7.

Offensive Line Players of the Week: Will Campbell, OT, LSU | Darnell Wright, OT, Tennessee

LSU’s Will Campbell and Tennessee’s Darnell Wright helped their teams clinch wins by keeping their quarterbacks upright.

Defensive Line Player of the Week: Jared Ivey, DE, Ole Miss

Jared Ivey had four tackles, 1.5 TFLs, a sack, a forced fumble, and a recovery in Week 7 for the Rebels.
