WATCH: Fed up Ole Miss fan lets Vandy Whistler have it during 2022 SEC Baseball Tournament

SEC Baseball brings some of the sport’s best fans to Hoover, Alabama for the conference’s tournament every single year. Twelve teams participate and it’s a rare event where a huge melting pot of fans has the opportunity to interact with one another, for better or for worse.
On Tuesday, when tensions were already high due to rain delays, an Ole Miss fan got into it with the famous Vandy Whistler about his actions. Ben Mintz, who works for Barstool Sports, approached the Whistler and a group of people he was sitting with. Mintz said the Vanderbilt fan should be “ashamed of himself” and called him a “disgrace to the Southeastern Conference.”
Of course, the Whistler and his friends did not take kindly to the interaction, having their own words to say back to Mintz. While the interaction never elevated past the two sides having some words for one another, it was still a moment most SEC fans can applaud.
You can watch the full moment below.
The Whistler follows Vanderbilt baseball around the country, with Hoover being one of his first stops of the postseason, usually. Wherever the Commodores end up in the NCAA Tournament and if they eventually make it all the way to the College World Series in Omaha, he will be there supporting his team. Even with all the criticism he gets, he’s just there cheering on Vandy.

On the actual baseball diamond, Vanderbilt outlasted Ole Miss in a game that went late into the night. Due to inclement in the area, the two teams saw their start time delayed until 10 p.m. local time and did not finish until past midnight.
The Commodores have moved on and will now face off against in-state rival Tennessee. Moving into the double-elimination portion of the bracket, there’s still plenty of baseball to be played at the SEC Tournament.
