Texas controlled its game against Michigan from start to finish, jumping out to a 24-3 halftime lead. The Longhorns were dominant on both sides of the ball.
South Carolina handled Kentucky with ease in Lexington, completely shutting down the Wildcats offense in a 31-6 victory.

Finally, Tennessee and Nico Iamaleava made a statement against NC State. The Vols earned a 51-10 victory in Charlotte against a team that some considered to be a threat to win the ACC.
Iamaleava threw for 211 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He also rushed for 65 yards and a score. While he is deservedly getting plenty of credit, the Vols also played well defensively, holding NC State to only 143 yards of offense.
As for the SEC Defensive Linemen of the Week, Gracen Halton had two tackles for loss, a sack and a safety as Oklahoma escaped with a close win over Houston.
Meanwhile Alabama’s Tim Keenan had 9 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks as Alabama pulled away late against USF.
