There’s some old faces and some new names throughout the list. As is usually the case with the SEC, it was tough to choose which players should be elevated above the rest, but here’s who the conference chose as the best of the best for the weekend that was.

As you can see, two quarterbacks were chosen for the offensive side of the football, with Jalen Milroe and Jaxson Dart being selected. Milroe was stellar during his performance at Wisconsin, where Alabama won 42-10, and Milroe accounted for five total touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Dart amassed 413 total yards and three touchdowns in Ole Miss‘ win over Wake Forest. The quarterback completed 26 of 34 passes for 377 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 36 yards and an additional score.
Meanwhile, Bradyn Swinson and Raylen Wilson were chosen for the defensive side of the football. Swinson recorded five tackles against South Carolina, which included three sacks for a total loss of 23 yards. Specifically, his two sacks in the fourth quarter were game-changing for LSU, helping the Tigers mount a comeback.

Continuing, Wilson finished his evening with five tackles, including a sack that resulted in a 28-yard loss and a forced fumble against Kentucky. It certainly wasn’t an easy game for Georgia, but the Bulldogs were able to get a win against the Wildcats.
Finally, arguably the most impressive performance was from a freshman who didn’t even expect to play in Week 3, with Arch Manning leading the way for Texas. Manning stepped in for Quinn Ewers after an injury to the Longhorns quarterback, completing 9-of-12 passes for 223 yards and four touchdowns, and rushing for a 67-yard touchdown in Texas’ 56-7 win over UTSA.
Alas, all the SEC Players of the Week in Week 3 were more than deserving of the honor. Moving forward, it’ll be fascinating to see what kind of seasons they cultivate, and how they use the momentum gained over the weekend to their advantage.
