SEC Nation announces Week 10 destination
SEC Nation, the traveling college football show that airs on SEC Network, announced on Sunday its location for Week 10 of the college football season: College Station, Texas, where the Texas A&M Aggies will host the Auburn Tigers.
SEC Nation last week was in Jacksonville, Florida for the Georgia-Florida rivalry, known as “The World’s Largest Cocktail Party.” The show has been to Georgia games numerous times this season, including a previous top-15 showdown between Georgia and Kentucky, marking the first week this season that SEC Nation and College GameDay broadcasted from the same campus. This week, however, SEC Nation will spotlight two new programs in Texas A&M and Auburn; Texas A&M comes off a dominant, 44-14 win over South Carolina, while the Auburn Tigers picked up Bryan Harsin’s biggest win since taking the job this off-season, upsetting Ole Miss 31-20.
Auburn quarterback Bo Nix will continue to command attention, not just in the SEC but across the nation. The former five-star recruit this past week completed 22 of his 30 passing attempts for 276 passing yards and a touchdown against Ole Miss, while adding 30 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns to his tally. After briefly being benched earlier in the season, Nix has looked like a different player; the past two weeks against No. 10 Ole Miss and No. 17 Arkansas saw him complete a combined 77 percent of his passes for 568 passing yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Nix will look to lead Auburn to another significant SEC win — this one, on the road — with the help of running back Tank Bigsby, who had 140 rushing yards and a touchdown on 23 carries against Ole Miss.

Texas A&M has played all season with backup quarterback Zach Calzada leading the offense, as starting quarterback Haynes King was sidelined with a lower-leg injury. Calzada has done more than just answer the call; he’s helped resurrect a Texas A&M program that was in an unstable position after back-to-back midseason SEC losses to Arkansas and Mississippi State. Calzada led the Aggies to a win over Alabama, which vaulted the Aggies into the AP top 25, then two more SEC wins against Missouri and South Carolina. Last week, against South Carolina, Calzada had 12 completions in 24 attempts for 187 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
Texas A&M and Auburn both reached new highs in the coaches poll this week, and both SEC programs rank in the top 15 — Texas A&M was tabbed No. 12, while Auburn came in at No. 14.
