After yet another exciting weekend of action inside the SEC, the conference has released its Week 7 Players of the Week honors. Alabama bounced back against Mississippi State while Georgia took down Kentucky with no issues. Auburn and LSU pulled off upsets over Arkansas and Florida. Texas A&M continued rolling over Missouri while South Carolina barely snuck away with a win over Vanderbilt.

The SEC’s Week 7 offensive honors

Offensive Players of the Week: LSU RB Tyrion Davis-Price, Ole Miss QB Matt Corral.

Tyrion Davis-Price set the LSU rushing record in a single game with 287 yards. He also had three touchdowns on 36 carries in LSU’s upset victory over Florida. The 287 yards were also the most ever against a Florida defense. Davis-Price now has the tenth highest single game rushing total in SEC history. He was a lock for Week 7 SEC honors.

Ole Miss snuck away with a victory over Tennessee, and Corral was a big reason why. In the win, Corral had 426 total yards and a career high 195 rushing yards. He attempted 30 rushes, becoming the first Ole Miss player to do so since 2007. Passing wise, Corral was 21-of-38 for 231 yards and two touchdowns.

Offensive Lineman of the Week: Texas A&M OL Kenyon Green.

Green moved back to left guard this week after playing left tackle last week against Alabama. In doing so, Green was a big part of a strong offensive game from the Aggies’ offense. Texas A&M had 283 net rushing yards, with 168 from Isaiah Spiller and 124 from Devon Achane. The offensive line only allowed one sack.

SEC Week 7 defensive honors

Defensive Player of the Week: Alabama LB Will Anderson.

Anderson was seemingly everywhere in Alabama’s win over Mississippi State. He had four sacks, six tackles, four tackles for loss, six quarterback pressures, and batted down a pass. Anderson’s four sacks made him the third player in Alabama history to do so in a single game and earned him Week 7 SEC honors. Mississippi State had negative rushing yards in the game and scored 18.8 points below their season average.
