Four non-conference games in November for SEC teams will be carried on ESPN+/SEC Network+, the conference announced Tuesday. The contests will be the second and third weekends of next month, and all four games will be at noon ET.

November 13 games:

Samford at Florida: The Bulldogs and the Gators have not played since 1922 when Samford was Howard College, and Florida won both of their two meetings. The Gators outscored them 91-0. Samford played football last spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and they went 4-2, but they are currently 3-4.

Charleston Southern at Georgia: Georgia is rarely letting anyone score on their defense, and it doesn’t seem like Charleston Southern will be any exception. These two teams played once before in 2014, and Georgia won 55-9. Charleston Southern has lost their last 14 games against Power Five opponents by 42 points per game, per Phil Steele.

November 20 games:

Tennessee State at Mississippi State: These two schools have never played, and Tennessee State is currently 4-3. Bulldogs head coach Mike Leach lost a pair of games to FCS schools when he was the head coach at Washington State. In 2015, Portland State beat the Cougars 24-17, and the following year Eastern Washington topped Wazzu 45-42. Mississippi State will look to get a win before the renewal of the Egg Bowl against Ole Miss on Thanksgiving night.

Prairie View A&M at Texas A&M: The Aggies host Prairie View A&M before a final showdown with LSU, a game which will have extra eyes on it given LSU’s potential interest in Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher. Since joining the SEC, Texas A&M has not lost to an FCS opponent. Prairie View is currently 6-1 and undefeated in conference play.

Streaming becoming more and more common in college athletics

Those that get the SEC Network can stream SEC Network+ at no additional charge. ESPN+ is a separate streaming service which requires a subscription.

Many companies are now launching their streaming services with “plusses,” such as Disney’s Disney+ and ESPN+ or CBS’ Paramount+. Last December, the 49ers-Cardinals game was streamed nationally on Amazon Prime and was available exclusively to its members.

The move toward streaming has now officially entered major college football as well. Peacock, NBC’s streaming service, had the Notre Dame versus Toledo game exclusively on that platform in Week 2. It cost customers who did not already receive the service through cable $4.99.
