Seth Hubbard's game continues to grow, coaches are taking notice
Everyone advances at their own pace, and early returns from his senior season are that Huntington (W.V) Prep senior Seth Hubbard is advancing at the right time.
“I can score the ball at all four levels and rebound,” Hubbard told On3 Sports. “I know how to pass and have a high IQ. I’m a two-way player, try to do anything my team needs to help them win. Since coming up to Huntington, I’ve gained over ten pounds of muscle, and I am shooting it more consistently. I watch a lot of Steph Curry and how he creates space, a lot of Zach Lavine and how he attacks the pick and roll.”
The 6-foot-3 guard has put up some significant scoring outputs, playing in major events across the country. Seth Hubbard talks exclusively with On3 Sports about the state of his recruitment.
Hubbard talks offers
“I am talking to a lot of schools right now. I have been talking to South Carolina, Virginia, and Wright State recently. UNLV and Penn State are in touch too. I am planning to visit South Carolina in March. Of the schools who have offered, I hear the most from UAB and Wichita State, I’d say.”
Wichita State: “They see how I can move the ball and score at a high level. They like how I score it and move the ball, both.”

UAB: “They like that I can pass and finish at the rim, play both on and off the ball.”
Hubbard’s take
“My sister, Kayla Hubbard, played at UGA, and my aunt, Tasha Butts, played at Tennessee and with the Atlanta Dream.
“I will be looking for a place where I can showcase my skill. I can handle the ball and pass, but I want to be able to score the ball too. Also, I want to guard the other team’s best player.”
On3’s take
Seth Hubbard is a strong-framed guard playing minutes off and on the ball. He plays with a good pace, and while not the quickest on the floor, Hubbard can get to his spots. His shooting has become a weapon. You can see the weight he has noticeably put on, and he has been aggressive in looking for his offense. There is a feeling here the school he ultimately signs with may not have offered yet
