Bermuda Run, North Carolina – Over the past nine years, the North Carolina Top 80 has become a proving ground for the best the Hoop State has to offer. Players like Bam Adebayo, Grant Williams, Dennis Smith Jr, Coby White, and many others from the state all competed in the prestigious event.

In the past couple of years, the event was moved from spring to fall. With that move, this camp became a barometer to see where players stand prior to the start of their high school seasons. Player evaluation is like a recipe and every viewing of a player is an ingredient. Alone the ingredient may be insignificant, but mix enough ingredients together and you get an understanding of the player.

The North Carolina Top 80 is always a go to ingredient, now let’s go through Shaw’s standouts.

SF Colt Langdon (2025)

Colt Langdon has a swagger about him, every second he is on the floor. The 6-foot- 6 sophomore is a high-IQ wing who can handle, shoot, and pass both in the half and full court. There is a smooth versatility to his game, even in this setting, the ball seemed to find its way to his hands.

Once he had the ball, Langdon was able to create offense. He delivered timely passes and got to the basket to finish at the rim. His versatility is the intrigue here, especially when paired with the toughness and basketball IQ. The Raleigh (NC) Millbrook forward recently visited Virginia Tech and LSU.

Four-star SG Jackson Keith (2025)

Jackson Keith is the No. 33 player in the 2025 On3 50. The 6-foot-5 guard is a bucket-getter at his core. His feel in the mid-post stands out immediately. He has an array of jab-steps, turn-arounds, and fade-aways that simply touch the bottom of the net.

Keith’s confidence is also developing at a rapid pace. He is ok with the spot light and looking for the ball. The Durham (NC) Southern wing has good length, natural athleticism, and a projectable frame moving forward. His father also played in the NFL for multiple years, so the athletic foundation is there. Keith recently took visits to East Carolina and Virginia.

Other standouts

-Unsigned senior forward Torey Alston of Winston Salem (NC) Christian is a high-flying wing forward. He attacks the basket with a purpose and has the upside to be a versatile defender. He claimed offers from a rapidly growing list that includes Manhattan, Sam Houston State, Milwaukee, and others.

-2024 C Devin Brafford is and name to earmark now, and keep checking back every couple of months. He is a legit 6-foot-11, and he has hands, touch, and some toughness; weight is the issue right now, but that should come with time. Both his parents and his brother play(ed) D-I basketball. Georgia Tech and North Florida are among his early claimed offers.

-Unsigned senior wing Brayhlan Thomas of Hickory (NC) Moravian Prep had a strong showing. The wing is a shot-maker, he gets to his spots, and he makes plays on the defensive end. There was a lot of production with the strong-framed 6-foot-3 senior. NC A&T and Radford have extended offers.

-There has not been a setting I have seen 2024 forward Lewis Walker play in that he has not been productive. The strong-framed, 6-foot-6 forward goes to Winston Salem (NC) Christian. Claiming offers from Liberty, High Point, Ohio, and Coastal Carolina, look for consistent scoring outputs from him throughout the season.
