Shaw's Superlative: Most electric player in the 2023 class
With recruiting almost at a screeching halt, the never-ending search for content landed on the 2023 class. A senior class that saw 95 percent of its top 100 prospects sign during the early signing period. I wanted to dig deeper into the class and hand out some senior superlatives.
The high school season is only a couple of weeks old, so what should you be looking for? Over the next couple of days, I will go through the ‘best of’ in the senior class. Today we will talk about the most explosive player in high school basketball. Future superlatives going out will include the best rim protector, the most electric, and more.

Electricity gets the crowd on its feet. It is the special stuff a player does that you do not see often. Whether that is high-flying, above-the-rim jumping, or crafty ball on a string handle, it is hard to put a definition on electricity, but you know it when you see it. Here is Shaw’s Superlative for the most electric player in the 2023 class.
Three-star G Trey Parker (NC State)
Height/Weight: 6-2/170
High School: Atlanta (GA) Overtime Elite
On3 Consensus: No. 149
Every time Trey Parker steps on the floor, be prepared as a fan. He does things that, quite simply, others cannot do. He is a high-flying guard, unafraid of taking on any player in his way. Parker is not only explosive, but he is also acrobatic.

This summer, with Boo Williams on the Nike EYBL Circuit, Parker averaged 19.2 points, shooting 35.5 percent from three on 7.9 attempts per game. Aside from the explosion, Parker has deep range off the bounce and the catch. He has a crafty, quick handle and can get where he wants on the court.
Parker transferred to play with Overtime Elite for his senior season. You can see his stuff online on most social platforms. The electricity is obvious.
