Colorado Buffs BLASTED By Nebraska | Has Anything Really CHANGED From Last Year For Deion Sanders?

The Colorado Buffaloes and quarterback Shedeur Sanders struggled against an opportunistic Nebraska Cornhuskers defense. That included giving up a bad pick six in the first half of the game.

After the game, Sanders admitted it had a big impact on the team and that it was a mistake to make that pass. Now, the goal is to take that kind of mistake and improve because of it.

“A lot,” Shedeur Sanders said. “It was just a rookie mistake, honestly. That’s what it was. So, it’s small things like that that kind of like things that just can’t happen truthfully, but that stuff happened. So, we’ve just got to bounce back from it and learn from that situation and just be ready for it.”

Nebraska had pinned Colorado inside the five-yard line with an excellent punt, which left Sanders to throw from his own endzone. As the pocket began to collapse, Sanders threw from the far hash toward a receiver near the sideline. The ball took too long to get there, though, and it was a relatively easy interception and touchdown for Tommi Hill.

For the game, Sanders completed 23 of 38 passes for 244 yards and a touchdown to go with that interception. He also lost 30 yards rushing, taking six sacks over the course of the game.

That was a step behind Nebraska’s true freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola. He completed 23 of 30 passes for 185 yards and a touchdown. He then celebrated after the game by posing in the locker room with his watch, taking a bit of a shot at Shedeur Sanders in the process.

In the end, it was a 28-10 win for Nebraska over Colorado.

With the loss, Colorado fell to 1-1 on the season. It was also the first loss for the Buffaloes against the Cornhuskers since 2010. In the meantime, Colorado had won three straight against Nebraska. Now, the Buffaloes turn their attention to another rival and another road game when the Buffaloes hit the road to play Colorado State.
