Colorado Buffs BLASTED By Nebraska | Has Anything Really CHANGED From Last Year For Deion Sanders?

Shilo Sanders is expected to miss two to three weeks after undergoing arm surgery, according to Colorado head coach Deion Sanders.

“Colorado coach Deion Sanders confirms safety Shilo Sanders underwent arm surgery Sunday,” ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg wrote in a thread. “Said he woke up from surgery and said he was ready to play this week (he won’t, obviously). Shilo Sanders is expected to miss 2-3 weeks, per Deion Sanders, who notes his son is a very fast healer.”

After the weekend, Deion Sanders shared an update on his son, posting a picture of him recovering in the hospital.

“God is Good!,” Sanders wrote on social media. “Can’t wait to see u back ready to go. Love ya son!”

Deion Sanders said during the game that it could perhaps be a fracture, but said after that he’s unsure the exact nature.

“I think Hardge did something with his foot on one of the punts. Shilo, I think suffered a — I don’t know the extent of the injury but I know he did something to his forearm that put him out for the rest of the game. Chidoze, I think it’s an AC joint or something like that. I think he’s going to be alright, I think he’s going to consequently play this upcoming week. I don’t know about Shilo,” Deion Sanders said.

“And Shedeur got dinged a bit on that, what’d they call it, intentional, helmet-to-helmet, targeting. He got dinged a little bit. So we just wanted to take care of him and get him out of there.”

Shilo Sanders was one of the high-profile recruits to follow his father to Colorado. He starred in the Jackson State secondary and has been a consistent presence in Boulder ever since making the jump up to the FBS level.

But it was all bad news Saturday as Colorado fell 28-10 to Nebraska and were never really in the game. As ESPN’s Paul Finebaum put it, don’t let the final score fool you. This was an “ass kicking.”

“I hated Matt Rhule as a professional coach, but I’ve always admired him as a college coach,” Finebaum said on The Matt Barrie Show. “That’s who he is, and he’s taken some shots, but he’s built a really good program. Deion Sanders has not. Deion Sanders, it’s all glitz. He’s all Hollywood. He’s all show. And if you take away all the boot lickers around him from RG3 on down, what does he have?

“He’s got two or three or maybe four, sensational players and a revolving door that showed up last night on the line of scrimmage, which is where college football is won or lost. And the score is completely deceiving … It was just a flat out ass kicking.”
