Skirmish in Baylor vs. Kansas State leads to double ejection
The Big 12’s Week 11 matchup between the Baylor Bears and Kansas State Wildcats is getting chippier by the minute. Kansas State came out and dominated Baylor early in the first half, leading 35-7 in the second quarter. And with just over 12 minutes to go in the second quarter, the chippiness reached a boiling point, spilling over into the action on the field.
Following a first down run on third-and-three by the Bears running back Dominic Richardson, a skirmish broke out between the two teams. In the end, after a brief review, Baylor’s starting left tackle Alvin Ebosele and Kansas State’s star defensive end Khalid Duke were charged with offsetting unsportsmanlike conduct penalties and ejected from the game.
Granted, the double ejection hurts both teams, but Baylor undoubtedly gets the short end of the stick, losing a fixture along their offensive line in a game in which they have struggled to keep Kansas State out of their backfield.
