South Carolina's Lamont Paris to see local 4-star on Sunday

New South Carolina head men’s basketball coach Lamont Paris will hit the road today. His first stop will be at Lexington (SC) High to see four-star Cam Scott.

Scott is On3’s No. 13 player in the 2024 rankings and the No.1 ranked player in South Carolina. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard was the leading scorer for one of the best 16u teams on the Nike EYBL Circuit. He averaged 11.8 points and shot 50.7 percent from the field in 15.4 minutes per game. Scott also led the NBPA Top 100 Camp in three-point shooting. He knocked down 50 percent of his shots and won a camp championship.

Scott hosted Florida State head coach Leonard Hamilton on Friday. On3 broke the news Scott has two official visits set. Florida State on October 1 and October 22, he will go to South Carolina.
