A huge recruiting win for South Carolina on the recruiting trail Friday as Hemingway (SC) Carvers Bay On300 offensive lineman Zyon Guiles announced his pledge to the Gamecocks.

On3’s No. 1 ranked prospect in the state, No. 3 interior offensive line prospect and No. 40 prospect overall chose to play his college football in Columbia over Clemson, Georgia, Florida State, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina.

The 6-foot-4 1/2, 290-pound Guiles becomes commit No. 6 for the Gamecocks in the 2026 class.

“What made them right for me I’d definitely say is the family aspect of it,” Guiles said. “The development. It was great. Really just i can see myself being around the coaching staff. How they treat their families was good. It’s definitely somewhere I see myself coming in and playing.”

Guiles is expected to come celebrate on the South Carolina campus this weekend.

Beamer was very involved in recruiting Guiles.

“Coach Beamer he’s great,” Guiles said. “He’s really turned the program around. A lot of recruits are flocking to the school and it’s great.”

The Gamecocks signed On3’s No. 18 ranked recruiting class in 2025 and with Guiles in the fold they’ll push to be higher than that.

Offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley played a big part in Guiles committed to South Carolina.

“Coach Teasley he’s great,” Guiles said. “I talked to him frequently. He tells me how I can fit into the program. He shows me the way I play can fit. He looks at me as a guy that come in and play right away which stands out to me.”

South Carolina has College Football Playoff ambitions this fall. Guiles and this class plan to keep it rolling.

“They have the right coaches, recruits to turn around the program and the potential to win a National Championship.
