Southeast Invitational Vol. 2 Standouts and Storylines
Huntersville, North Carolina – This weekend, some of the nation’s top talent convened on Charlotte (NC) Hopewell High for Underrated Athlete’s Southeast Invitational Vol. 2
On3 was on the baseline to bring you the storylines of note.
Amaree Abram with elite scoring performance
Currently ranked No. 76 by the 2022 On3 Consensus, Amaree Abram gave us 36 reasons why on Friday night. He has a crafty handle, with an understanding of how to get to his spots in the half-court. Abram was 10-13 from three in his first game on Friday and then committed to Ole Miss on Saturday.
Abram, a 6-foot-3 lefty, is a combo guard. He is a capable scorer from the wing, but he is also comfortable bringing the ball up the floor and getting his team into sets. The athleticism may be a question, but there is no doubting his offensive capabilities.
Abram committed to Ole Miss on Saturday.

Dellquan Warren is pure excitement
Quite simply, Warren just looks the part with the ball in his hands. The 6-foot point guard has a compact frame with a crafty handle and a lot of pop. Warren gets anywhere on the floor he wants in any situation. The question mark in the Erie (PA) Keystone Prep sophomore game is the jump shot, but the paint-touch guard creates opportunities each time down the floor. He is a good passer in tight spaces, he can finish above the rim in traffic, and he plays with outstanding balance in transition.

Warren claims offers from Maryland and Youngstown State. He has recently visited Rutgers and Ohio State.
Julian Phillips continues to improve
Already a five-star talent and a McDonald’s All-American, Phillips continues adding pieces to his game. The 6-foot-8 small-forward has always carried a lengthy frame with a lot of burst; over the past five months at Branson (MO) Link Academy, Phillips has developed in the half-court. The jump shot is smooth, and the handle is compact and efficient.
The native of Columbia, South Carolina, is the No. 16 ranked player in the 2022 On3 Consensus. At the Southeast Invitational, Phillips finished with a game-high 18 points. He was two of three from beyond the arc with three dunks.
Phillips has signed with LSU.
