2026 EDGE Max Meier commits to Stanford

Los Angeles Loyola three-star EDGE Max Meier has committed to Stanford, he announced on Tuesday.
He chose the Cardinal over offers from USC, Arizona State, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska and others.
Meier is the No. 640 overall prospect and No. 64 EDGE in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 58 player in California.
The 6-foot-5, 245-pounder landed an offer from the ACC program in February and is now in the boat just over two months later. He’s now the fourth member of the class for general manager Andrew Luck and the Stanford staff, which will feature interim head coach Frank Reich in 2025.
As a junior for Loyola, Meier logged 90 total tackles and 8.5 sacks, according to MaxPreps. He also ranks as the No. 37 EDGE in the 2026 On300.
Stanford adds another in-state commit to 2026 class
Meier becomes the third in-state recruit to pledge to Stanford this cycle, flanking Stockton Edison three-star athlete Langdon Horace and Mountain View St. Francis three-star linebacker Chase Cahoon, both of whom committed in February.
