Stanford hosting many of the nation's best this weekend, including a five-star and big flip target
A big recruiting weekend is taking shape on the Stanford campus as head coach Troy Taylor and his staff host several top targets for official visits.
The Cardinal program heads into the weekend with 11 commits, a class currently ranked No. 33 nationally by the On3 Industry.
Five-star headlines the list
Roswell (Ga.) Fellowship Christian School On3 Industry five-star offensive lineman Josh Petty will be in Palo Alto, both he and his father tell On3. This is a return visit to see Stanford.
Florida State is the On3 Industry RPM favorite, but Stanford is certainly one of the programs we’re watching.
Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Auburn, Tennessee and Oregon are some of the others in the thick of it for Petty who the On3 Industry tabs as the nation’s No. 2 interior offensive lineman.
Stanford looking for a flip
Florida has had Tallahassee (Fla.) Rickards On300 defensive lineman Jalen Wiggins in the fold since January, but the blue-chipper is keeping a couple programs warm.
Stanford is certainly one of them. So is local Florida State.
The 6-foot-5, 235-pound Wiggins heads out West this weekend to see how Stanford stacks up with the in-state programs.
On3 ranks Wiggins as the nation’s No. 7 defensive lineman and No. 89 prospect overall.
