Star transfer Johni Broome sets commitment date, cuts list to 2

Morehead State transfer Johni Broome, one of the best available transfers, tells On3 he will announce his college decision on Saturday, April 30th at 3:00 pm ET between Auburn and Florida.

The 6-foot-10 power forward has visited both the Tigers and the Gators and is ready to make one team in the SEC very happy. Broome — a Plant City, Florida native — also received interest from Kentucky, Duke, Gonzaga, Louisville, Houston, and Memphis.

The big man averaged 16.8 points and 10.5 rebounds last season. Broome was named the Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year. He led the conference in both rebounds and blocked shots.

Johni Broome has three years of eligibility remaining.
