TCU continues to hammer the in-state recruiting trail. On Saturday evening, head coach Sonny Dykes and Co. picked up a commitment from Arlington (Texas) Martin four-star EDGE Jesse Ford.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder chose the Horned Frogs over Texas, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and others.

He is the No. 155 overall prospect in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the No. 15 EDGE and No. 16 player in Texas.

“The coaches treat me so well and this is somewhere I would want to be for the rest of my college career,” Ford told On3. “We are building something no one’s ever going to expect!”

TCU originally offered Ford in October of 2023. He becomes commitment No. 3 for the Frogs’ 2026 class, joining Southlake (Texas) Carroll four-star wide receiver Brock Boyd and Rosharon (Texas) Iowa Colony long snapper Will Terry.

“I just wanted to stay home and put on for my city,” he added.

As a junior for Martin last season, Ford had 49 total tackles and 7.5 sacks. The Frogs are on their way to another big recruiting class. Last cycle, they inked the No. 27 class in the nation and No. 1 class in the Big 12, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
