March was a key month on the recruiting trail, as a slew of commitments came in for teams across the country and shook up the rankings. With April underway and the huge influx of expected commitments incoming as official visit season rolls around, here’s where things stand in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking.

The On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking is the most advanced, complete and unbiased ranking measurement in the industry, yet its simplicity makes it easy for fans to follow and understand. It utilizes all four major recruiting media companies: On3, 247Sports, Rivals.com and ESPN. This ranking also solves the problem of varying class sizes during the recruiting cycle. It compiles the highest-rated commits for each team up to a total based on a rolling average of current total commitments among Power 5 schools.

Below are the top 25 classes as of April 8:

1. LSU – 94.253

9 total commits
1 five-star | 7 four-stars | 1 three-star
Top Commit: WR Tristen Keys, No. 3 NATL. (No. 1 WR)

Along with Keys, who chose the Tigers in March, they have locked up two major commitments in projected five-star defensive lineman Richard Anderson, Aiden Hall — the nation’s No. 5 safety — and wide receiver Jabari Mack, another top-100 prospect. Of LSU’s nine commits, seven hail from the state of Louisiana.

2. USC – 94.198

21 total commits
0 five-star | 12 four-stars | 8 three-stars
Top Commit: LB Xavier Griffin, No. 24 NATL (No. 2 LB)

The Trojans have been scorching hot on the recruiting trail and likely have most of their 2026 class filled up at this point. Griffin projects as a five-star if the rankings were expanded fully, as does cornerback RJ Sermons. Lincoln Riley and Co. also have top-100 pledges from cornerback Brandon Lockhart, EDGE Simote Katoanga, quarterback Jonas Williams and defensive lineman Jaimeon Winfield.

3. Ohio State – 93.313

10 total commits
1 five-star | 6 four-stars | 3 three-stars
Top Commit: WR Chris Henry Jr., No. 15 NATL. (No. 2 WR)

After a bit of a slow start early in the cycle, things are beginning to heat up for the Buckeyes. Henry has been a longtime commit dating back to July 2023. But OSU just beat out LSU and Texas for Blaine Bradford, who hails from Baton Rouge and is ranked as the nation’s No. 2 safety. On3 top-100 prospect Simeon Caldwell added his name to the commit list last week, joining recent blue-chip pledges Sam Greer and Max Riley.

4. Oregon – 93.291

8 total commits
1 five-star | 5 four-stars | 2 four-stars
Top Commit: TE Kendre Harrison, No. 16 NATL. (No. 1 TE)

The Ducks have secured a handful of big early pledges, but few are more important than Harrison, the country’s top tight end out of North Carolina. He’s flanked by elite offensive lineman Kodi Greene, No. 5 running back Tradarian Ball, No. 6 DL Tony Cumberland, and a pair of other four-star commits.

5. Alabama – 92.087

4 total commits
1 five-star | 3 four-stars | 0 three-stars
Top Commit: CB Jorden Edmonds, No. 17 (No. 2 CB)

Despite only four total pledges, the Crimson Tide have the highest average rating per commit of any program in the country. Edmonds, who committed in late March over dozens of other programs, leads a group that features four blue-chip commits.

6. Texas A&M – 92.050

10 total commits
0 five-star | 10 four-stars | 0 three-stars
Top Commit: WR Aaron Gregory, No. 72 (No. 9 WR)

Mike Elko and Co. have wasted no time early in this cycle grabbing targets, and that spans both sides of the ball. Gregory is one of the country’s best playmaking wideouts, but the Aggies also have No. 6 running back Jonathan Hatton Jr., four-star EDGE Jordan Carter, blue-chip quarterback Helaman Casuga and top-200 prospect Madden Williams in the fold.

7. Clemson – 91.321

13 total commits
0 five-stars | 7 four-stars | 6 three-stars
Top Commit: WR Naeem Burroughs, No. 46 NATL. (No. 6 WR)

Dabo Swinney and Co. made huge headway in the month of March on their junior day visit weekends, pulling in eight total commitments over those four weeks. Burroughs is the crown jewel of that group, choosing Clemson over Florida and a host of others. The Tigers also solidified the offensive line with four-stars Chancellor Barclay, Adam Guthrie and Grant Wise, and added blue-chip wideout Connor Salmin as well.

8. Notre Dame – 91.144

8 total commits
0 five-star | 6 four-stars | 2 three-stars
Top Commit: IOL Tyler Merrill, No. 115 NATL. (No. 5 IOL)

The Fighting Irish are perennially near the top of the list when it comes to number of commits this time of year. 2026 is a bit different though, with only eight in the fold so far — though that could change soon with a few upcoming commitment dates. Merrill is one of the country’s premier interior linemen, and ND just grabbed one of the most promising players in the cycle in four-star EDGE Ebenezer Ewetade. Those two join a quartet of other blue-chip recruits in the class.

9. Auburn – 91.025

7 total commits
0 five-star | 5 four-stars | 2 three-stars
Top Commit: EDGE Hezekiah Harris, No. 97 NATL. (No. 14 EDGE)

The Tigers made in-state recruiting a huge priority in 2025, but only have two commits from inside the borders this cycle. They’re two of the Yellowhammer State’s best though, as both Harris and linebacker Shadarius Toodle rank among the state’s top 10 prospects. Hugh Freeze and Co. have also dipped into Georgia (WR Devin Carter), Louisiana (LB JaMichael Garrett), and Florida (WR Denairius Gray) to grab some key targets as well.

10. Miami – 90.942

9 total commits
0 five-star | 7 four-stars | 2 three-stars
Top Commit: LB Jordan Campbell, No. 104 NATL. (No. 6 LB)

Similar to their ACC counterparts at Clemson, the Hurricanes have made some serious hay over the past month in terms of commitments. Campbell has been a longtime pledge going back nearly 18 months, but four-star cornerback Jaelen Waters and Jontavius Wyman both came onboard in the past few weeks, as did blue-chip RB Javian Mallory and offensive tackle Ben Congdon.
