Updated 2026 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings

Commitments are coming hot and heavy as the hectic spring quickly turns into official visit season. April is coming to a close, and as teams continue to flesh out their 2026 recruiting classes, the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings have updated following the release of the new On300.
The On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking is the most advanced, complete and unbiased ranking measurement in the industry, yet its simplicity makes it easy for fans to follow and understand. It utilizes all four major recruiting media companies: On3, 247Sports, Rivals.com and ESPN. This ranking also solves the problem of varying class sizes during the recruiting cycle. It compiles the highest-rated commits for each team up to a total based on a rolling average of current total commitments among Power 5 schools.
Below are the top 25 classes as of April 21:
1. LSU — 94.237
9 total commits
2 five-stars | 6 four-stars | 1 three-star
Top Commit: WR Tristen Keys, No. 3 NATL. (No. 1 WR)
Along with Keys, who chose the Tigers in March, they have locked up two major commitments in five-star defensive lineman Richard Anderson, Aiden Hall — the nation’s No. 5 safety — and wide receiver Jabari Mack, another top-100 prospect. Of LSU’s nine commits, seven hail from the state of Louisiana.
2. USC — 94.195
22 total commits
2 five-stars | 10 four-stars | 9 three-stars
Top Commit: LB Xavier Griffin, No. 24 NATL (No. 2 LB)
The Trojans have been scorching hot on the recruiting trail and likely have most of their 2026 class filled up at this point. Griffin is a new five-star, as is cornerback RJ Sermons. Lincoln Riley and Co. also have top-100 pledges from cornerback Brandon Lockhart, EDGE Simote Katoanga, quarterback Jonas Williams and defensive lineman Jaimeon Winfield.
3. Oregon — 93.306
8 total commits
1 five-star | 5 four-stars | 2 four-stars
Top Commit: TE Kendre Harrison, No. 16 NATL. (No. 1 TE)
The Ducks have secured a handful of big early pledges, but few are more important than Harrison, the country’s top tight end out of North Carolina. He’s flanked by five-star offensive lineman Kodi Greene, No. 5 running back Tradarian Ball, No. 8 DL Tony Cumberland, and a pair of other four-star commits.
4. Ohio State — 93.260
11 total commits
2 five-star | 7 four-stars | 2 three-stars
Top Commit: WR Chris Henry Jr., No. 21 NATL. (No. 2 WR)
After a bit of a slow start early in the cycle, things are beginning to heat up for the Buckeyes. Henry has been a longtime commit dating back to July 2023. OSU recently beat out LSU and Texas for five-star Blaine Bradford, who hails from Baton Rouge and is ranked as the nation’s No. 3 safety. On3 top-100 prospect Simeon Caldwell added his name to the commit list earlier this month, joining recent blue-chip pledges Sam Greer, Max Riley and Brock Boyd, who flipped from TCU.
5. Notre Dame — 92.531
11 total commits
1 five-star | 7 four-stars | 3 three-stars
Top Commit: EDGE Rodney Dunham, No. 17 NATL. (No. 2 EDGE)
Not many teams are hotter on the trail than Marcus Freeman and the Fighting Irish this spring. April has brought four commitments to South Bend, none bigger than Dunham, the newest On300 five-star. Top-150 EDGE Ebenezer Ewetade and four-star IOL Gregory Patrick are other new additions, beefing up a class that also features No. 4 IOL Tyler Merrill and No. 13 QB Noah Grubbs near the top.
6. Texas A&M — 92.352
11 total commits
0 five-star | 11 four-stars | 0 three-stars
Top Commit: WR Aaron Gregory, No. 73 NATL. (No. 9 WR)
Mike Elko and Co. have wasted no time early in this cycle grabbing targets, and that spans both sides of the ball. Gregory is one of the country’s best playmaking wideouts, but the Aggies also have No. 6 running back Jonathan Hatton Jr., top-100 corner Victor Singleton — who flipped from Illinois this month — four-star EDGE Jordan Carter, blue-chip quarterback Helaman Casuga and touted WR Madden Williams in the fold, among others.
7. Alabama — 91.979
5 total commits
1 five-star | 3 four-stars | 1 three-stars
Top Commit: CB Jorden Edmonds, No. 18 NATL. (No. 2 CB)

Despite only five total pledges, the Crimson Tide have the highest average rating per commit of any program in the country. Edmonds, who committed in late March over dozens of other programs, leads a group that features four blue-chip commits, including cornerback Zyan Gibson, a top-100 recruit and the No. 11 CB in the nation.
8. Clemson — 91.433
14 total commits
0 five-stars | 10 four-stars | 4 three-stars
Top Commit: WR Naeem Burroughs, No. 48 NATL. (No. 6 WR)
Dabo Swinney and Co. made huge headway in the month of March on their junior day visit weekends, pulling in eight total commitments over those four weeks. Burroughs is the crown jewel of that group, choosing Clemson over Florida and a host of others. The Tigers also solidified the offensive line with four-stars Chancellor Barclay, Adam Guthrie and Grant Wise, and added blue-chip wideout Connor Salmin as well. Four-star WR Gordon Sellars is the newest addition, as he pledged on April 18.
9. Penn State — 91.231
11 total commits
0 five-stars | 7 four-stars | 4 three-stars
Top Commit: IOL Kevin Brown, No. 51 NATL. (No. 3 IOL)
Some early work on the recruiting trail has paid off for James Franklin and the Nittany Lions, who are positioned to finished with a top-10 class this cycle. Brown has been committed to PSU since last summer, while prized four-star running back Messiah Mickens has been pledged since August of 2023. Four-star athlete/quarterback Peyton Falzone joined the fold this month and sits near the top of the class alongside four-star safety Matt Sieg, four-star QB Troy Huhn and four-star EDGE Daniel Jennings.
10. Tennessee – 91.000
8 total commits
1 five-stars | 3 four-stars | 4 three-stars
Top Commit: QB Faizon Brandon, No. 7 NATL. (No. 2 QB)
The Vols got their quarterback of the future locked in early with Brandon, who chose Tennessee over dozens of other offers back in August 2024. He will be the centerpiece of their class, which also currently includes four-star wideout Tyreek King, four-star offensive tackle Gabriel Osenda, and four-star tight end Carson Sneed.
