Temple expected to hire ex-Arkansas assistant Dominique Bowman as cornerbacks coach
Temple is expected to hire former Arkansas cornerbacks coach Dominique Bowman to the same position, according to On3’s Matt Zenitz.
Bowman spent this past season as an assistant coach with the Razorbacks.
It has been a quick journey up the ranks for Bowman, who played for Hugh Freeze at NAIA Lambuth University.
Bowman started his coaching career at Cordova (Tenn.) High before making the jump to the college level in 2016 at Division II Arkansas-Monticello as a defensive backs coach.
He then spent two seasons as an assistant head coach and defensive backs coach at UT Martin before heading to Austin Peay as a co-defensive coordinator.
Bowman then returned to UT Martin to serve as its co-defensive coordinator before taking the cornerbacks coach job at Marshall in 2021.

Dominique Bowman replaces Jules Montinar at Temple
Dominique Bowman takes over for Jules Montinar at Temple. Montinar recently left to take the cornerbacks job at East Carolina.
Bowman is the latest hire to Stan Drayton’s staff. Drayton was hired before last season for his first ever head coaching role.
The Owls went 3-9 during the season, including 1-7 in conference play.
Temple’s defense allowed only 198.6 yards per game through the air in 2022 but allowed opponents to score 29.2 points per game, which ranked No. 95 out of 131 teams.
