Dynamic 2026 WR Tyran Evans commits to Tennessee
Charlotte (NC) William Amos Hough 2026 receiver Tyran Evans tells On3 he has committed to Tennessee.
Several things are catching Evans’ eye about his opportunity in Knoxville.
“The offense, quarterbacks they have committed,” Evans said. “the relationships being built with the staff.
Evans chose to play for Josh Heupel and his staff over offers from Florida State, Florida, NC State, South Carolina and Miami among others.

Evans had a monster junior season turning 36 receptions into 980 yards and 14 touchdowns, averaging over 27 yards per catch.
Tennessee rolling early in the 2026 cycle sitting at No. 3 In the On3 Industry Rankings prior to Evans commitment.
Future position coach Kelsey Pope was the lead recruiter in courting Evans to Knoxville.
“The relationship,” Evans said of what set Tennessee apart from the others he was considering. “Pope reminds me of my high school coach a lot and we have a great connection.”
