LOOK: Texas A&M makes hilarious blunder before baseball NCAA Tournament
Texas A&M won their first SEC West divisional title in program history this season and was rewarded with a top-eight seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Aggies will host their regional and if they can advance, will see their Super Regional take place in College Station as well.
While most coaches might tell you to stay focused on what’s in front of you and not on the future, some Texas A&M fans have jumped the gun. D1 Baseball managing editor Kendall Rogers posted a photo of a shirt on Monday, claiming the Aggies had already made it to Omaha for the College World Series.
Yes, Texas A&M may be considered a favorite to advance but there’s still a lot of baseball to play. You can check out the full mishap below.
Texas A&M will get play underway on Friday against Oral Robert. TCU and Louisiana are the other teams in the regional and are in the way of a Super Regional. Even so, throughout the tournament Aggies will have the home-field advantage to make this t-shirt a reality.

Texas A&M head coach Jim Scholssnagle gives emotional response about potential TCU matchup
Texas A&M baseball earned the No. 5 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament following a season that saw the Aggies claim victory in 37 wins, including a 19-11 record against SEC opponents this season. College Station will play host later this week to a regional tournament featuring Oral Roberts, Louisiana – and of course, Aggies head coach Jim Scholssnagle’s former ball club, the TCU Horned Frogs.
“When I took this job, I knew it could be a possibility – didn’t quite expected the first year,” Scholssnagle said about potentially playing his former team. “Obviously mixed feelings, but I’m excited for them. I feel like TCU was most definitely deserving of a host site; I think anytime you win a league like the Big 12, you’re deserving of hosting [a Regional].
“I’m excited for for those players. I mean, I love those guys, I still love him to death and wish them the best of luck with the exception of the times that if we play, but that’s a part of it and I knew that was that was a possibility staying in the same region.”
