More on Arkansas vs. Texas A&M
Wednesday’s game is a rematch from just four games ago when Arkansas handled business at home defeating Texas A&M 81-70. The Razorbacks lost the turnover and rebounding in that matchup, but their night was highlighted by a stellar team shooting performance, making 50% of their shots from the field. The Razorbacks followed that win with two more, but most recently fell in upset fashion at home versus Mississippi State. The Razorbacks’ three headed backcourt trio of Ricky Council, Anthony Black, and Davonte Davis was more of a one person attack versus the Bulldogs. Black posted a game leading 23 points, but Council and Davis shot a combined 3 of 18 from the field, and will likely be looking to bounce back versus the Aggies.
The Aggies may have come up short versus Arkansas in their last meeting, but bookend that loss with two wins previously and three straight ever since. Their 10-2 conference record puts them second in the SEC standings, behind No. 1 ranked Alabama and ahead of No. 10 Tennessee, yet they’re still not ranked in the AP Top 25. Texas A&M’s latest wins have been highlighted by the play of sophomore guard Wade Taylor IV. Taylor has scored 20-plus points in the Aggies’ last two games and has been on fire from three-point range, making nine three pointers in his last two contests on 50% shooting.
