Texas A&M vs. No. 1 Auburn Preview

This matchup couldn’t come at a better time for the Aggies, as No. 1 Auburn suffered their first loss since November at the hands of a court-storming Arkansas Razorback team. Just one game prior, Auburn was taken to the limit by a then-6-16 Georgia team. With Auburn’s time atop the AP Top 25 seemingly over thanks to the loss, they’ll be hungry to prove their loss to Arkansas was just a factor of the SEC being one of the deepest conferences in the country.

At the same time, Texas A&M hasn’t won a game all month. In fact, they’ve lost seven games in a row after a 15-2 start with their last win coming on Jan. 15 to Missouri 67-64. While TAMU is more desperate to get back on track, Auburn’s win Saturday is mandatory in regards to the SEC standings. If Kentucky wins and Auburn falls, both squads will be tied for first place. Auburn will have the tiebreaker, but will it maintain?
