Texas A&M DB Kevin Longstreet, brother of 5-star USC signee Husan Longstreet, enters NCAA Transfer Portal
Texas A&M defensive back Kevin Longstreet, who is the older brother of five-star USC quarterback signee Husan Longstreet, has entered the NCAA Transfer portal, On3 has learned.
Husan Longstreet was at one point committed to play QB at Texas A&M, before flipping his commitment to USC. With Husan headed elsewhere, Kevin Longstreet is now on the move, as well. It will be interesting to see if he also ends up at USC with his younger brother.
Kevin Longstreet is a California native who originally signed with Louisville. As for Husan Longstreet, he flipped his commitment from Texas A&M to USC last month. Longstreet had been committed to USC since April.
As a senior in 2024, Husan Longstreet missed some time with an injury, but completed 109-of-165 passes for 1,641 yards with 19 touchdowns. He added 494 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the ground.

He was named a top performer at the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles by On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power.
“[Longstreet] has a rocket launcher attached to his right shoulder. No quarterback on hand consistently threw with more velocity,” Power wrote. “He had multiple highlight throws including an absolute rope down the seam that went for a touchdown. Longstreet is a juiced-up athlete with considerable twitch to his game. While the arm talent was well established coming in, he showed improved accuracy and ability to layer his throws, as well.”
Husan Longstreet was rated as a five-star recruit and the No. 20 overall player in the country in the class of 2025, per the On3 Industry rankings. He signed with USC over offers from Texas A&M, Auburn, Michigan, Miami and others.
He recently explained what made him flip from Texas A&M to USC.
“What made USC right for me is what Coach Riley has done in the past,” Longstreet told On3. “He has five quarterbacks starting in the NFL right now and four that won the Heisman. It’s hard to turn down something special like that.”
