Texas A&M already has a stacked group of wide receiver commits in its 2026 recruiting class, but head coach Mike Elko and the Aggies are still after top pass-catchers.

One of the names at the top of the board for A&M is Mansfield (Texas) four-star WR Zion Robinson. A talented in-state recruit, the 6-foot-2, 160-pounder has been to College Station plenty throughout his recruitment and he returned this weekend for a spring visit.

Spending time around Elko, offensive coordinator Holmon Wiggins and the Aggies, Robinson “had an amazing day” around the SEC program.

The Aggies currently lead for Robinson, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, but he named a top seven last month that consists of Arizona, Baylor, Illinois, Miami, Stanford, TCU and Texas Tech.

He’s still continued to add big-time offers and is clearly giving A&M a close look. When speaking with On3’s Chad Simmons in February, Robinson updated his recruitment as he continues to figure out who he wants to officially visit later this year.

Wiggins is a big reason why Texas A&M has life in Robinson’s process.

“I am definitely interested in them,” he said of A&M. “I like coach Wiggins a lot. His approach to the game and the details he gets into are things I like.”

Robinson is the No. 135 overall prospect and No. 21 WR in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 20 player in Texas.

As a junior for Mansfield High, Robinson caught 34 passes for 485 yards and eight touchdowns, per MaxPreps. The Tigers won seven games in 2024.

Texas A&M has top-five recruiting class

To date, the Aggies have 10 commitments in their 2026 class, which ranks No. 5 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

All 10 of the commits in A&M’s class are four-star prospects. A pair of top-100 recruits currently headline in Douglasville (Ga.) Douglas County four-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory and San Antonio Steele four-star running back Jonathan Hatton Jr.

Gregory is the No. 64 recruit and No. 8 WR overall, while Hatton ranks No. 73 overall and No. 6 at RB. Hatton is one of just two in-state commits thus far, alongside Houston Legacy SSS four-star WR Mike Brown.

Gregory’s high school teammate, four-star EDGE Jordan Carter, is the top-ranked defensive prospect in the class. Carter, Provo (Utah) Corner Canyon four-star quarterback Helaman Casuga and Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic four-star defensive lineman Jermaine Kinsler are all top-200 recruits.

Casuga, the No. 12 QB in the nation, committed in October and is a former high school teammate of A&M freshman WR and former five-star Jerome Myles.

“I believe that they’re building something special down there,” Casuga told On3. “Obviously I want to be part of the Elko era. He’s done so many great things at Duke and now he’s showing he’s capable of doing it at a SEC school.”

Three blue-chippers out of California help add to the class, too. Carson Leuzinger four-star EDGE Samu Moala, Bellflower St. John Bosco three-star WR Madden Williams and Torrance Bishop Montgomery four-star tight end Caleb Tafua each committed toward the end of 2024.

Strongsville (Ohio) four-star linebacker Storm Miller is the latest to commit, as he joined the class on April 2. He’s On3’s No. 24 LB in the cycle.
