Trey Zuhn dismisses challenge of facing Anthony Hill: 'Nothing we haven’t seen before'
Texas A&M offensive lineman Trey Zuhn still has plenty of confidence in the Aggies, despite a poor showing this past weekend at Auburn. Texas A&M is welcoming rival Texas to town on Saturday, and Zuhn insists the Aggies will be ready.
The Longhorns have an excellent defense, led by one of the best linebackers in the nation in Anthony Hill. But Texas A&M doesn’t see that as a huge challenge, according to Trey Zuhn.
“He’s a great player, but he’s nothing that we haven’t seen before and nothing that we can’t handle,” Trey Zuhn said Monday, according to TexAgs.
That is obviously a pretty big statement as Anthony Hill has made plays all over the field throughout the 2024 season. He leads the Longhorns with 79 tackles, including a team-high 15 tackles for loss. Anthony Hill also leads Texas in sacks with 7 and forced fumbles with 4.
Trey Zuhn didn’t stop there, though. He also said that Kyle Field will be a tough place for Texas to place. In fact, he went as far as to say he feels bad for Texas.

“It’s going to be the most amazing atmosphere that I’ve ever experienced,” Zuhn said. “So I can’t wait for that and I feel bad for Texas having to play in that. So looking forward to it.”
Zuhn also made his feelings about Texas clear. The two long-time rivals have not played since 2011, but there is still plenty of bad blood between the two programs.
“You know, we just don’t like each other at the end of the day,” Zuhn said. “So we’re just going to go out there and play Aggie football and we’re going to handle business on Saturday.”
It’s clear that Trey Zuhn is confident ahead of the matchup. We will see on Saturday whether that confidence is for good reason or if the Longhorns can win and clinch a spot in the SEC Championship Game. Kickoff in College Station is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
